Tuesday Morning

Hello all, just wanted to say that purling is going faster or should I say purl one row, knit one row.
I am feeling alittle better with my allegyies. I have taken my medicine for it. The cooler weather helps alittle too.
Back to my son's afghan. I feel like I am making progress with it now that I am purl one, knit one row.
I went to the library the other day and picked out two books. One is The Knitting Circle, and the other is The Friday Night Knitting Club. I started reading the The Knitting Circle and I like it. But the problem is that I have to return the books in 2 weeks. I can't read that fast. I am still at home with our son. Trying to find a full time job. When I get a job, I am going on Amazon.com and getting The Knitting Circle.
Went to McD's on Sunday night with my son and the other ladies were not there. But we stayed until about 8:00pm. I worked on my girlfriends scarf.
Well, time to get knitting, trying to get our son's afghan done.

Friday Night

Hello all, just wanted to say that I feel yucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Allergies are killing me. I have a runny nose, watery eyes, itching eyes, sneezing, stuffy nose at times. I hate this time of year.
Just wanted to add that on my son's knitted afghan, I have decided to start purling as well as knit. Just doing the garter stitch(all knitted rows) is getting boring so I change the pattern somewhat. This is my own pattern.
The afghan is 200 stitches. I have knitted up to 172 rows. I then started to purl one, knit one row.
I have done that for 8 rows. Now I will be back to knitting. I am trying to decide what I want to do next.

172 one section (all knit rows)
8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
86 one section (all knit rows)
8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
43 one section (all knit rows)
8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
the total here is 325 rows total

Then I would start from bottom working up to the top

8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
43 one section (all knit rows)
8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
86 one section (all knit rows)
8 of Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row
172 one section (all knit rows)

This should be enough for a twin size bed for a toddler/growing child.
Well, time to get in the shower and go to bed since I took some medicine for my allergies.

Tuesday Morning

Hello, all, just wanted to say I feel blah, I have a running nose, watery eyes, sore eyes, bleedshot eyes, I do believe that my allegies have kicked in for the summer. yuck.
so anyhow, besides that, I have started a new afghan for our son. It is the red heart ripple romance patter. This pattern is just like the normal ripple but much easier and instead of the points, it is rounded. I love this.
I am still working on his knitting afghan. that is getting heavier, and heavier. I can't take it anywhere now because it is getting bigger.
I have been still looking and only looking at all of my stash and stuff. I really need to get my butt in gear and get organized.
I had a great mother's day. I spent the weekend with my in-laws. Boy how much fun is that???? just kidding. My hubby put almost all of the new swingset together by her house. The weather was very nice alittle chilly in the morning but when you start working outside doing stuff, it was getting warmer.
Well, time to get either knitting or crocheting here.
but first, another cup of tea.

Friday Morning

Hello again,
Just wanted to get typing here, yesterday, our neighbor had her grass cut by pros. Well, I started sneezing like crazy, my hubby started cutting our grass and then our 2 neighbors did, boy I did nothing but sneeze for like 2 hrs, I can't breath now, nose is stuffy.
I had a scare yesterday. I started working on my son's knitted afghan, well I am using my Denise Interchangeable knitting needles, well one came unscrewed I was able to pick up the few stitches that I dropped. Well, I picked up one from the row below. I had plans going to the lys where I hang out at, the lady there was sooooo helpful.
I am working on two kinds of afghans for my son. One is crocheted, it is from Red Heart called the Ripple Romance afghan it is like the ripple pointed but instead of the points you have curves. When I get done, I will post a picture of it. The other one like I said is knitted, just doing the garter stitch.
I found out that doing the ripple romance pattern, that I would make one for my girlfriend. I already have the colors picked out for her. I need to finish her 2 scarves. One is getting there.
I am going to make sure that I have her stuff done by her birthday. Which is in January.
Well, time to get doing my crafts. Since I don't feel the greatest today, I am going to just do my crocheting and knitting. Well, I am going to look for a job online first, then do my other stuff.

Thursday Morning

Ok, I checked the car, nothing wrong with it. It was just sitting in the driveway with the nose of the car facing the garage door. which this part of the driveway is alittle bit of a hill, downward. So, I saved alot of money for hubby.
Still looking for a job. this is not fun. Called a temp agency that I had an assignment with and nobody called me back.
Was looking through my stash and was working on my son's afghan the crochet one, I have two of then started, one is crochet, and the other is knitted. the knitted one is getting big.
Last night went to Kro-sha (lys) and hung out with the ladies. Sure do have alot of fun with them. Just love to see what everyone is making. I saw a lady making a item with Caron Shadow yarn, just fell in love with this yarn. I JUST HAVE TO GET RID OF MY YARN STASH. I want new yarn. Another lady bought the "Mason*Dixon Knitting" book. I told her that I would love to do the log cabin pattern in the book. She told me she would too.
Sometime next week at night time, I am going to add in my favorite links to the site.
Found a pattern in the Red Heart archives and I think there is a mistake with the pattern. I am going to have a friend look at it today. I have to go back to the LYS for her to see it.
Well, time to give the little one a bath and get my butt in gear, ok, maybe just another cup of tea(2nd one) and start working on my friend's scarf. I would like to get it done before the summer starts, ok maybe not. I have another one I would like to start for her too but I can't because the needles that I am now using are the ones I need.
Ok, time to get off the computer.

Wednesday Morning

Hello there,
Being off from work is driving me nuts. Not use to being home with our son.(lately)
I do have to say that the start of this week is not been good. On Tuesday morning, my hubby had to come back inside and change his shirt. When he went into the garage, he was getting ready to leave for work when he pushed the button to open the garage door, well the rubber thingy broke. So our garage door is broke. When he tried to get around it, he bumped it with his shirt so that is why he had to change his shirt.
So, it is Wednesday morning and it is not good. My hubby came upstairs again, to give me the cell phone???? and to say that the car is not sounding good, it sounds like it wants to die. I don't need this!!!!!
So, I told him to just take the truck. I will call the auto shop and see if I can get it in this morning. So when I got up, I went to start it up and to see if I can move it to the other side of the driveway because if I need to have it towed, I need the nose out by the road. Well, I did that and it sounds like it didn't want to start. It could be the starter???? I am wondering if I should try and drive it over to the auto body shop???? With our 4 yr old son in the car????
Well, time to call the auto body shop and see what they say.
So until I write again.

Monday Morning

Hello all, just wanted to say, I forgot what it was like not working during the day. I am thinking, yes, I am thinking here, what should I do first??????.
I think I am going through all of my books, papers, and notebooks and getting all of my knitting notes together.
Then I am going to start working on my yarn stash.
Last night, before bed, I found the pattern that I wrote for a baby blanket for my girlfriend. I am going to rewrite it and start working on it.
Later today or should I say this evening, I am going upstairs and start putting links on my blog. I would have to go to the slooooooow computer. Windows 98. We have a laptop now and it has windows media xp on it. I love this laptop.
Oh well, time to get a moving here.
yep, right after I get another(3rd) cup of tea.
