Hello all, just wanted to say hey, and that I am still here. we have been very busy here, been upnorth, working. just busy, busy, busy. tomorrow we are going to great america theme park. our son is going to love it. I hope we have nice weather. my new job is busy been doing alot of overtime. I would be at work right now but my husband had to be at his work today. He rather have me go and do overtime because I get paid hourly he doesn't. I am grabbing any overtime that I can, need it for our 2nd mortgage upnorth. We got another dog, that is right, another dog!!!!
this one is much calmer then Bud was, I will be starting training with him next sat morning. We got this one from a breeder that my husband's co-worker got hers from. I had to tell my crafty yahoogroups that I will not be doing much crafting because of work. But when I get a chance, I will be doing something with one of my unfinished projects. I have not been working on the log cabin square because I went back to work. I got some of that RedHeart Strata yarn, I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!!!! I have started the scarf on the wrapper in crocheting and then started one in knitting, I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, they self stripe alright, that is the only one good thing about it. I don't like the roughness it has. I have taken them both apart and just did one skein granny squares with them. I have 4 skeins of this stuff. The squares come out about 14"-15" or so. I am using a size I crochet hook. I will just put them in my granny square box(granny squares of all different sizes).
Well, time to get going here, need to get the dry clothes out of the dryer and the wet ones into the dryer and then start a new load.

Friday night
Hello all,
just wanted to let you know that I have been busy working lately that is why I have not been blogging.
A few things I need to get off my chest, I WOULD PREFER that if you are going to leave a note, please leave your name. I don't like people just leaving replies and not signing their name to it.
My family and I are doing great. We have been up north at our summer home alot this summer. Our son will be starting PreK-4 in a few weeks. I am going to be starting a 2nd shift job here soon. I am in training right now.
In my earlier post, I told you about our dog Bud, well we have made a decision and we are going to put him in a shelter. WE ARE NOT JUST THROWING HIM AWAY OR ASIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! We feel that he is going to be kept in a cage all day long and that is not fair to him. With our son in school full time and my husband and I working from sun-up to sun-down, the dog would be locked up. I don't mind people giving me their opinions but hey this is our choice not yours. We feel bad the way it is. Besides, someone else can have him and train him or maybe have him as a hunting dog, who knows.
He is a pure breed lab so someone will take him.
I just wanted to get that off my chest.
We all live different lives, and our lives don't always go as we picture it. times change and so do we. Unfortunately we can't all have it. If you know what I mean. If not, oh well.
Well, that is all for now, oh by the way, I am half way done with my girlfriend's scarf, need to order 2 more skeins of yarn for it. I am going to get 4 sets of size 10 circular knitting needles and redo the log cabin square that I have started. I found out that I don't need to bind off the edges, I can leave them alive just have to instead of binding off, put the live stitches on the circular needles. I will show a picture of it when I get back to it.
Right now, need to get a full time job here.

Tuesday Afternoon
Hello all,
just wanted to let you know that the log cabin afghan is coming along. My batteries in my camera are being charged. So I can't take a picture of the afghan.
I am on the 5th stripe.
My son's afghan is coming along too. I am not doing what I said in my other post on May 18th, I am just knitting and when I feel like a change, then I purl some rows.
We are going out of town for the week of the 4th of July. Just up north by our summer home.
The weather that I say was for rain, rain, rain, that sucks because then we can't get out and fish. I don't know if my in laws are coming or not.
I am going to be taking my girlfriend's scarf, my son's afghan, and my log cabin afghan up with us so that I can get some done.
By the way, the dog Bud, is doing great. His ear infection is gone.
I have a job interview this Thursday morning. I also have a job starting on July 9th. If I get the job from Thursday's interview, then I will cancel the other job that starts on July 9th.
well, time to get knitting here.

Thursday morning
Hello there, just wanted to let you know that I have attempted to do the Log Cabin Afghan. I love it. I have met someone online which is in a town near my house. She teaches at a LYS. I went into this shop and just fell in love with it. I met some very nice ladies. I am still working on my girlfriend's scarf and my son's afghan. I am really enjoying doing this Log Cabin Afghan. I am going to take allllll of my yarn and put it in color piles. I am going to have my son help me out. Since I have to take it from the basement to the 2nd floor bedroom.
When I get it all done, then I can see what colors I have.

thursday morning
Went to the vet's yesterday and Bud, the dog has a yeast infection in his ear.
Got the meds and started to give them to him. He is just laying around now.
Went to Kro-Sha's last night and Beth showed me how to pick up stitches on a bind-off row. tricky
I need to know how to do this on the log cabin afghan that I am doing. I am on the second ball of yarn for my girlfriend's scarf. I think I will need another 2 balls. I got the yarn from Kro-sha's but she don't have anymore. I found the exact yarn at Herrschners for $2.97 a ball. I am going to get them. I might just drive up there and get it. I don't know.
I worked alittle on my son's afghan.
I am looking through all of my yarn and start thinking about the colors for the log cabin afghan.
I saw a feather and fan afghan in a book that I have. I want to do everything but don't have the time.
oh well, time to get to the laundry.

Tuesday Morning
Ok, I have not posted anything lately because I have been busy. Last weekend well, really Wednesday night we went up north to our cabin. We stayed until Sunday. Lovely 4 days. Well, I took my knitting alone, and my girlfriend's scarf. Well I only did 4 rows on my son's afghan and 1 row on my girlfriend's scarf.
I just went downstairs in the basement and looked at allllll of my yarn, this stuff is not moving anywhere. So, as of now, I am going to start making granny squares with size h hook. I don't know what size of the square right now but hey, I just make them.
I have to take our dog Bud in to the vet this morning. I don't want to but my hubby tried to clean his one ear and didn't get much out. My hubby says that bud's ear is really red. We have a yellow Lab male. Lately he has become somewhat aggressive toward other dogs and people. My hubby wants me to put bud in the human society place for animals. I told him if we do this WE WILL NOT GET ANOTHER DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We put down his other dog and that was soooo said. I have buried my mother and father and a dog and I just can't do it again.
I called the trainer whom we had for when bud was a puppy and she kind of told me that we just need to work with the dog.
I told my hubby and he just looked at me.
oh well, time to get going here.

Tuesday night
Hello all,
just wanted to let you know that I am getting bored with my son's afghan. I have decided to take on another UFO project. Well, I just started it. I bought the book "Mason-Dixon Knitting" book. I love the book. It has the pattern Log Cabin Afghan. I highly recommended this book to any knitter.
As you look at my blog, you will see the first attempt to knitting this afghan. I will take pictures every 20 stripes or so. Please let me know what you think.
We will be on our way upnorth tomorrow night, again, driving at night time. Up for 24 hours or so. I hate it some times but hey, we have a place on the lake and I love it. I just hope that we can keep it.
